How the eff’n hell can we appropriate 626bn for defense, but we can’t get health care fixed?!
I recently had a relative go in to the hospital for extreme respiratory issues, it was ER visit. That’s an automatic $4k, oxygen and special care was required or they would’ve died. And in a matter of 4 days their hospital bill was $25k. If they didn’t get this attention, they would’ve died.
They had no insurance, they only made about $12hr and was living with their parents to make ends meet and she leaves the hospital with a $25k medical bill! And the hospital is expecting payment before she leaves… and the hospital treated her like a sub-human because she didn’t have medical coverage. So somehow cause she can’t afford $600 for medical insurance, this makes her less of a person- it’s wrong and it needs to stop.
I read articles about appropriating billions of dollars for invasions, wars and defense, but we can’t cover the Americans that are here [paying taxes] or at least cover the CHILDREN [<18], ELDERLY and the VETERANS.
It’s so sad…
We’ll spend more on destruction, than saving lives.
The White House on Wednesday said Obama exercised his right to send back to the Capitol a temporary appropriations bill that lawmakers passed in case a winter storm about two weeks ago would have prevented them from approving a final measure to fund the Pentagon next year. The Dec. 19 blizzard didn't keep them away from the Capitol and they approved the $626 billion defense spending bill before the previous budget expired.
