Police said a 29-year-old Georgetown man killed his mother with a sword after the two argued in the home they shared.
Investigators said 51-year-old Laura Ferrante was found dead Sunday night in her home near Georgetown with a large wound to her neck and head.
Sheriff’s Lt. Neil Johnson said Ferrante’s son, 29-year-old Jonathan Maurice White, was arrested at a traffic stop shortly after his mother’s body was found. He is charged with murder.
Johnson said the two were arguing, but he wouldn’t say what the dispute was about.
