All the news lately is has some thing to do with Wikileaks, and personally I’ve seen nothing they’ve done wrong but expose the nasty bastards in politics and in power that are dumber than shit.
The US government is seriously seriously irritated because they look like a bunch of assholes and idiots to the world. It has nothing to do with anything else; they just don’t like being seen as hypocritical or as morons. And they’re taking it out on the easiest target they can get to.
Wikileaks was highly respected when it revealed that innocent people were killed in an air raid about 2 years ago, but now that they’ve exposed ‘confidential’ colorful comments pertaining to politics, it’s not so funny.
This is what the press is supposed to do. Expose wrong doing, and inform the public; what’s happening the person exposing the dirt is being crucified.
By exposing the cables, WikiLeaks shows how things are happening that are being hidden from the public; things that are outrageous!

And while the United States has always fought in other countries for freedom of speech, religion and press; they seem to be fighting very hard to keep the world from knowing these things. Ironically, today [12/08/2010] is World Press Freedom Day.
And following a notice from the State Department, PayPal seized their account and withheld over $60k in donations. PayPal should be ashamed of their actions; they showed they’ve no balls at all on things like this; simple puppets of the system.

Assange being arrested for a crime for a ledged rape is BS. If you read the report, you can see the woman was clearly seriously irritated they she didn’t get out of the relationship and completely unfounded. She’s seriously irritated because he and her had sex a second time and didn’t use a condom the second time. ‘She didn’t know him well enough to do that.’ so she filed a police report— really?!
I was really impressed with Australia on the latest comment they made. Basically stating ‘hey, US, you bunch of freaking idiots! It’s not Assange’s fault the cables are out; it’s yours!’

I wonder strongly about how this would’ve played out in any other venue; having a big time newspaper release these cables… I wonder how it’d have been received like that, or is Rachel Maddow had reported this— would she have been arrested. And how about all the other times confidential documents were shown on TV to support a story…
This whole thing is just disgusting and hypocritical.
The US government is showing just how corrupt, crooked and hypocritical it really is—- and this is why they want WikiLeaks shut down and silenced.
And the freedom of the press should be allowed to function…
…and that beats all.
Good day.
