Bankers see $3.8 billion as a level of proverty. Apparently.
Posted on October 18, 2011 | 1 CommentSeems painfully obvious to me that the banks are having such a hard time making money; I see now why they have to charge for the $5 a month debit cards. It’s hurting their bottom line. Only having your earnings go up by 3.8 billion is so weak… they need to pull it together; they have families they have to feed they can’t live on just 3.8 billion. That’s poverty to them. I swear, if they can’t do business any better than that; they should just ask for another bail out. -
Why would you stay with a big bank?
Posted on October 17, 2011 | 1 CommentI saw this article about Credit Unions and Banks and the charges. I understand that the banks THINK they need to charge for something, but they should have never charged for the use of a debit card. Theyshould have charged for a checking account [additional ones], but chargin people for debit cards; that’s hitting people right in the wallet. BOA could’ve said the charge was for anything else except for debit cards and it probably would’ve gone right over the radar, but BOA went right for the jugular. They didn’t care and they figure, they’re to big to fail… so... -

And Meredith Attwell Baker wasn’t shy about it either, just 4 months after the merger she helped approve and fought to get passed, she up and leaves to go to Comcast. And in some sort of demented way, she thinks this is okay— no... -
A prime example of government corruption by special interests
Posted on April 3, 2011 | No CommentsAs if AT&T needed another reason to make more money, the state of Kansas has granted AT&T the right to jack up the price of older, the traditional, landlines that everyone uses. In a bill that was sponsored by AT&T and was pushed through by Scott Schwab, a Republican, who is also supported by Comcast, cox and other big telecommunications companies, but also by a Democrat Nile Dillmore; which received thousands of dollars in contributions as well. Why and HOW does a representative of the government, on any level, able to be associated with these types of deals when they’re...
